Next up in our ‘Meet the Team’ series, is Digital Designer Emily Elsworthy. 2018 marks 3 years at 5874 for Emily, meaning she is one of our longest-standing members of the team. We talk to her about design, property and superheroes!
I’m a Digital Designer at 5874. I’m responsible for designing websites (occasionally I’ll build them), brochures, exhibition stands, signage, business cards and in-house documents for the team.
I worked in marketing for a car part accessory company; I started there as an apprentice before they took me on full time. I used to work on social media posts, photography and design event leaflets.
Think that would be the Grand Prix Trust website. Everyone in the office knows that I’m a big Formula 1 fan, so when we got asked to design and build a new website for the charity Grand Prix Trust, Rupert handed it to me and I could not be more thankful, as I was definitely in my element with that project.
The variety. I love the variety of projects I can work on in a week. Every day is different, one day I can be designing a brochure for a demolition company, the next a website for a teddy bear wholesaler or a short animation for a property client.
I also love that we have a big cake and biscuit weakness here; no one says no to cake.
I’ve just finished a book called Bright Side by Kim Holden, it’s beautifully written and so inspiring. I’m now on to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix – I’ve still yet to finish the Harry Potter books.
I’m going with my top three as it’s too hard to decide on just one.
Wonder Woman – Perfect role model: strong, courageous and never gives up.
Deadpool – He has no fear and is always hilarious.
Groot – Lovable, selfless and has amazing taste in music.
