Yumi – The Latest in Ladies Fashion & Seasonal Trends
Yumi came to 5874 after having some frustrations with their old legacy Demandware platform – it was not only expensive, but was difficult to update and maintain. After some research into SaaS solutions and already having heard good things about Bigcommerce, they began their search to find a UK based partner who could conduct the replatforming process- which is where 5874 came in.
The new Yumi site turned out to be quite a complex project. To start with, there was a tight timeframe of just 3 months in which the move to Bigcommerce needed to be completed. There were also some complexities surrounding the integration of the other platforms, due to all of their products being held under an outdated PIMS system and a separate Warehouse system. The Bigcommerce API handled it perfectly, enabling the project to be completed in a much quicker timeframe than if it was being done via other legacy platforms – proving once again, that it’s worthy of its reputation.
The order and customer history was imported from Demandware, and the end product was a custom built, beautiful, fully-responsive site- delivered on time.
Redevelopment and overhall of the IBL website
Yumi were happy with all the work 5874 did on the development side, and now seek them for daily design and digital marketing support.

“Blaze Publishing have worked with Rupert Cross since 2008. Whether the project is large or small Rupert and his team have proved to be helpful, efficient and forward thinking. Often called upon at short notice, Rupert has always delivered a live product to deadline, and is seen by many here at Blaze as an extension to our team rather than a contractor. Projects completed to date include custom databases with front end websites, wordpress websites, web hosting, email marketing, web design, and commerce websites.” James Folkard, Blaze Publishing, Operations Director
