Decorative Mirrors Online (DMO) were experiencing some issues with their old website. With a slow site speed, an outdated look and feel and a website that generally wasn’t very user friendly, they decided to re-platform to BigCommerce. Looking for an overall better user journey, faster site speed and an updated website design that maintained their SEO scores, they chose BigCommerce Elite Partner, 5874, to help them get the results they needed.

The 5874 team worked closely with DMO on their brief with a discovery stage set up to go through the design and build expectations thoroughly. Our team then provided DMO with multiple website designs for them to choose from.
DMO’s previous platform was too rigid and didn’t enable them to have the bespoke features they wanted, which is why BigCommerce felt like the right fit for them this time around as it has the flexibility needed to add custom elements. The client wanted a custom-built service landing page which acts as a pre-page for their two product categories which fall under ‘bespoke’. The user journey is enhanced by having clear instructions on how the service works and a CTA to call for their bespoke product, before they even begin perusing the type of mirror they would like. The result is an easy-to-use service with a greatly improved user experience.
The build took 11 weeks, including any styling updates to the design. Given the amount of work on custom elements and integrations with Mailchimp and Brightpearl for BigCommerce, the end result is a smooth, fully-responsive and user-friendly website on a platform that allows them more flexibility and scalability than their previous.
